Note: To get into the zone will need to run The Ruins of Elwyn Abbey and kill “Elwyn, the guardian of the sanctuary”.

Once you have passed through the barrier to enter the zone make sure you do not walk back south. The key crumbles upon entering this zone, if you go south you will need to wait for the Ruins of Elwyn Abbey to repop and run it again to get back inside.

There are wandering mobs that you will need to kill to complete the explore. While you are following the directions below be sure to kill the following when you see them:

• 5x Baboon – A wary baboon is baring a set of fanged teeth.
• 5x Dragonfly – A dark, opalescent magic pulses through the midnight wings of a dragonfly.
• 5x Cobweb panther – Small flashes of silver dance across the fur of a panther.
• 5x Sable jaguar – A sable cat slinks liquidly through the forest.
• 3x Caladrius – A sun white caladrius with a golden crest is preening its feathers.
• 4x Phoenix macaw – Enchanted cerulean flames float above the feathers of a phoenix macaw.

From zone entrance east, north, kill mandrake. East, kill mandrake. East, kill mandrake. North, west, north, kill mandrake. These mobs have permanent fireshield, and I am not sure if they wander. Just look around for “A tuberous plant lies on the ground, uprooted and shrieking loudly” and kill 4 of them.

From the last mandrake room go 2 west, 2 north (or from zone entrance 5 north), up, 4 west (last room is cramped), 3 south, west, south, west, 2 south, west, south, get rose.

3 east, 2 up, north, kill Hesperia (mob has permanent fireshield).

In the next section you will need to kill Xaegarren for an explore objective. He is usually hidden so in any room with a hidden mob type “look Xaegarren”. If he is not hidden you will see “Xaegarren, the dryad assassin has an indignant sneer on his face”. Dispel his sanctuary and kill him.

South, east, south, east, south, 2 east, 2 down, kill the quetzal serpent (mob has permanent fireshield).

Search until you see “Your search reveals an uncut piece of angelstone.” Get the angelstone, and your explore is complete.

If you still have mobs to kill wander around and finish them off. Just be careful you do not accidentally walk back into the Ruins of Elwyn Abbey. In addition to the entrance to the zone there is a 1-way exit into the ruins from the tree near Hesperia/Quetzal Serpent. In the northeast corner of the tree there is a down exit. DO NOT TAKE THIS EXIT.
